I am an active cyclist and meteorologist with the National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office/Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu, HI.  As time goes by, I’ll add more biography-type material here, but for now I’ll just start with the two bits of information that help explain the name of this site.  (More details describing what led to the name are included in my first post.)
